This is the most beautiful rose!! The plant is extremely healthy, and the blooms are outstanding. I love it!

I never do reviews! But this rose deserves one. When I look at the bloom, I am sure all is right with the world. I am glad that the bloom doesn't last very long--that makes it all the more precious. My husband and I both wait with great anticipation for each bud to open. To me it has the most magnificent aroma. I wish I could capture it in a bottle--it's unforgettable! One of those rare things worth waiting for. Mermaid never seems to mind my less than gentle care-she just grows and spreads. No pampering!

I bought 2 from Capital Nursery in Sacramento CA. long gone now to the Corona Virus how ever these I bought back in 1985. Had to remove both for personal reasons. I was sick about it, then one day while tending the roses on the back fence I discovered a friendly face peeping up from the soil, about 6 to 8 inches no blooms how ever one could not mistake the 3 prong hook for any other rose lol. I nurtured it and moved it as soon as I could and that was about 1995. My baby is still thriving and a voracious bloomer. She grows like a weed on steroids lol.

Very vigorous growing even in our heavy clay soil. I loved the flowers. They just bloomed and bloomed all summer. I have a large lot and bought several dozen various climbers with thorns for the back fence. These were the nicest. Flowers don't last long but stamens are pretty and plants don't need to be dead headed. My favorite of all the different roses we planted. We removed them last year. There were so many roses we could not keep up with the pruning/hedging and these plants were taking over the others. I found a volunteer yesterday and practically cried when I dug it out.
