Estimated Launch Date: Summer 2025
SAVE THE RAMBLERS: Gardenia is a Hybrid Wichurana that produces creamy yellow to pure white 3” blooms with up to 12 petals. This rare Rambler blooms in spring or early summer and emits a crisp apple fragrance. Expect to have a spectacular first flush of flowers, followed by scattered reblooms. She has glossy, dark green foliage and will climb any structure or strong tree quickly. Claude Graves, a master rosarian for the American Rose Society, counts Gardenia as one of his favorite ramblers for her beautiful blooms and excellent disease resistance. She is truly a “fuss-free” Rambler.
Gardenia is a rare Rambler that has previously not been available commercially in the US. We are partnering with the American Rose Society (ARS) to save these nearly extinct ramblers from Ann Belovich’s personal rose collection with the goal of having this rose in three public gardens and at least 30 private collections. A portion of the proceeds of the sale of this rose will go back to the ARS’ Save the Ramblers initiative to further support the work of preserving these nearly extinct ramblers.
Have you purchased this rose? Please consider registering it with the American Rose Society to help us Save the Ramblers.
