Beautiful Foliage

Roes and Trellis

I’ve always wanted to have climbing roes over a trellis. Something about the charm of it appeals to me so I order this beautiful and wonderful smelling “Agatha Christie" climbing rose.

A real stunner

This climbing rose is indeed climbing--and blooming a beautiful deep pink. A real focal point in the garden. The lovely glossy leaves are a real bonus!

throwing in the towel...

Planted 2 bushes in a wide open western exposure that gets 12 hrs of sun a day. 1 was like it was radioactive so many shoots came out the ground it hard to control and decide which canes to sacrifice. 2nd plant was a runt and 4 yrs later it still pretty much is. Had a couple thick canes but mostly spindly and scrawny. Both suffer from massive amount of black spot, tried everything from Horticulture oil, Daconil and their recommendation baking soda. Clean up the leaves and mulch. Eventually tried Boi Advance systemic rose food both liquid and granular and it didn't make any difference. Tired of even looking at them anymore. Better off with a clematis...
