  • Sweet Afton features soft pink buds which open into high-centered, large, double, 5" blooms of pearlescent white with a pale pink reverse. The petal count of 20+ gently fades to a creamy pink as she slowly unfurls. She has a heady perfume which is truly magnificent. This is a tall, bushy, continually blooming plant with dark-green, leathery foliage. This is a perfect rose in color and fragrance! She does great in beds, borders, and pots.

Standout performer

New Jersey, zone 7a/b. I'm building my rose garden and have roughly 20 Heirloom plants so far. Of them, Sweet Afton is a standout performer. She's already given me half a dozen gorgeous, true to color and scent blooms... after only 3 months (!) in the ground, and in the midst of several ~95+F heat waves this summer. New growth all over, not a speck of disease on her, and truly luminous color / delicious clean scent. Honestly, I might buy another, she's so good...

Blooming beautifully in 4 months

First of all I am new to growing roses. But the roses on here are so beautiful they are hard to resist. This was the 3rd bush purchase back in July 2021 and I'm so please with how well it's doing here in east central Florida. We stayed unseasonably hot late this year but this is doing great so far. We have had several blooms already and there are currently 7! in process. The scent is delicate but wonderful. I can't believe it's doing so well in just a few months. The

Sweet Afton

This has been my favorite rose for at least 40 years.
It is a delicate pink with what looks like delicate petals, but is very sturdy. The smell is not comparable to any except perhaps Cecile Brunner. It does beautifully in CA, not quite so well in OK. (Though it could be I don't take the care with my roses as I once did.)

Powerful scent

I live in Oregon. I searched for and found this company while looking for very fragrant roses. I chose Sweet Afton as one . This rose is very delicate , and pale pink turning to white when blooming out . It has such a powerful scent that one cut bud smells up my entire bathroom when placed in a vase . The canes are thin now and need to be staked but as it matures I hope bush will become more sturdy.
